![]() I would like a way to manually input an email address to send match files to, instead of having to use the Mail app. And people play short matches, which misses out on much of the richness of backgammon. I've played against enough people on this app to confirm that there are a lot of weak players on here, the main downside of this app. Trust me, play against a world champion and you will think they have rigged dice too. No app is good as XG for learning the game, but after playing this a while I've found there to be many useful features, clean interface, strong AI, and fair rolls. The reality is very few people are truly good at backgammon, so it appears computers cheat or dice aren't fair. Surprisingly good but not the place to find skilled competition star star star star star_borderĭichterliebe1's Review of Backgammon Nj Hd Reviewed on 8/5/18 6:57 AM For beginners, looking at the hints might also help improve your game. Where this app can help improve your play is by learning to strategically use the doubling cube and recognizing pip count advantages. The only difference between beginner and expert modes is the amount of timely doubles and perfect rolls generated by the computer. The AI in this app, like in every other app I’ve played appears to be the same for all modes. FYI - I’ve downloaded many other backgammon apps and they ALL cheat. The manual dice rolling option is the only reason why I would recommend this app. ![]() Unfortunately, manual dice rolling is very tedious, but - it's the only way to ensure that the computer plays fair. When I manually rolled the dice and forced the computer to play those random rolls, I won 7/10 games. Then I changed the option to manual dice rolls, still on expert mode. I played 10 games on the expert mode with the computer generated dice rolls. I proved the cheating to myself and you can do the same. Anybody who says this app doesn't cheat is smoking crack. Made a lot of beer money in college in the early 80's playing gammon for 25 cents a point. I consider myself to be a very good backgammon player. The developer must have a major inferiority complex to build an App that always has to win.Ĭheats - Here’s how to prove it star star star star starĪirPrint SchmairPrint's Review of Backgammon Nj Hd Reviewed on 9/16/19 2:02 PM However, en the App bumps one of your pieces, you may as well concede the game because 15, 20 or more rolls later your piece is still bumped and you usually can’t get back on the board until the App is on the verge of winning. And what is most frustrating is that when you bump one of the App’s pieces, it typically gets comes on the board on its first roll - and usually in the only open slot on your side of the board. ![]() No matter where you have an open piece, the App gets the perfect roll to bump you. The App gets dice rolls that no human player would ever get, such as 3 consecutive double sixes and, invariably, always the roll needed to win the game in the last turn when you’re about to win (usually you have 2 pieces left, the App has 4 pieces, and, no surprise, the App rolls just the double it needs). As many, many other reviewers point out, the App cheats. ![]() If you’re looking for a fun and relaxing way to spend a few minutes, don’t buy this App. Maximus10013's Review of Backgammon Nj Hd Reviewed on 9/16/19 2:02 PM The App Cheats - DON’T BUY IT star star_border star_border star_border star_border ![]()
